We assisted Kokushikan University Mobility Club with starting the engine in their vehicle.
What we helped with
- Final wiring and electrical checks: inspected connector connections and power supply lines, and checked continuity around the ECU.
- Sensor readings and operating signals: logged and checked sensor data during cranking, including crank-angle sensor and throttle-position sensor (TPS) readings.
- On-site troubleshooting: identified and addressed issues affecting engine startup.
- Successful engine startup: checked the sequence from initial firing through to stable idle.
On the day
The team took the lead and worked enthusiastically throughout the session. By troubleshooting together on site, we were able to bring the engine to a successful start. When it fired up, the whole team shared a memorable moment of excitement.
Subversive Engineering supports teams and individuals in Formula Student and other motorsport activities with electrical systems, ECU wiring checks and engine startup.
We look forward to seeing the team's progress in upcoming track tests and competitions. Thank you to everyone at Kokushikan University Mobility Club!
